Megan's Northgate Animal Boarding Policies

BOARDING POLICIES

Vaccines Requirements

For the health and safety of our boarders, pets entering Megan’s Northgate Animal Boarding for any of our services must be current in the following vaccinations:

Dogs

  • Annual Distemper/Parvo vaccine
  • Rabies if over 4 months of age
  • Annual Bordetella vaccine

    Cats

    • Annual FVRCP or Annual FeLV
    • Rabies (one or three year protocol)

The Bordetella vaccine helps defend against Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease (CIRD) or “kennel cough”

The DHPP vaccine helps prevent canine distemper, infectious hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus

The FVRCP vaccination helps prevent rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia

The FeLV vaccination helps prevent feline Leukemia

    Keep in mind…

Like a child at daycare, your pet is at a higher risk of exposure to various illnesses while boarding, even with proper vaccination. Vaccines aren’t 100% effective, but they do decrease the symptoms and can lessen the severity if your pet does contract an illness while at Megan’s Kennels. For any additional concerns, don’t hesitate to consult with our veterinarian.

Please have your vet’s office call or email us confirmation or bring photocopies upon Check-In.

    Intact (Unneutered Dogs) Policy

Dogs who are intact (not spayed/neutered) will be allowed to stay with us. However, they will not be able to participate in group play with other guests if they are over 7 months of age.
